Community Comes Together to Raise Graduation Rates

Communities In Schools of Washington joined the collective conversation and provided sponsorship support at the regional GradNation Summit in Bellevue on November 8. The event brought together more than 300 participants to share information on services, funding, best practices, and sustainability strategies to increase graduation rates in King, Pierce, Kitsap and Snohomish Counties.

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Leonard Pittssummed it up well in his keynote address when he implored the group to go beyond endless analysis and “do something” to continue the work to curb dropouts and raise graduation rates in the community.
