Investing in Washington's Future Leaders: A Message from Dr. Gwynth Nelson

This is a letter we’re quite proud to share!

Dear Ms. Richards:

The Network Committee of the National Board has reviewed the findings of your recent accreditation review and has determined that all required criteria for national accreditation were met.  Therefore, it is with great pleasure that we inform you that Communities In Schools of Washington has been awarded the status of Nationally Accredited State Organization!

Successful completion of the accreditation process requires the use of sound business practices and effective leadership of the affiliates in the Washington State Network to ensure a positive and sustained impact on communities, schools and the lives of young people and their families.  This tremendous accomplishment is no doubt a reflection of your leadership, the commitment, support, and strength of your board and the hard work of all of your staff, volunteers, and partners.

We are very proud to have Communities In Schools of Washington as a member of our national network of affiliates.  Congratulations on achieving this significant milestone and thank you for all that your state office does to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Cardinali                                                       William E. Milliken
