It was the last pre-season game of the year for the Seahawks, who were facing off against the Oakland Raiders. Seahawk fans dressed in the traditional blues and the new green, came ready to watch the Seahawks beat the Raiders last Thursday, and to do a little a more.

At selected gates around the stadium, CIS of Seattle volunteers stood ready to collect school supplies and donations for the Stuff the Bus campaign. As fans began to show, they came with backpacks, notebooks, pencils and pens, and other schools supplies. Those who didn’t bring school suppplies, gladly opened their wallets and gave small donations to the campaign.
For 5 hours, CIS of Seattle volunteers collected school supplies and donations. Youth from a partner organization served as runners, going from collection station to the Stuff the Bus school bus with all the donated supplies. Fans of both teams gave, showing that while the Raiders and Seahawks can disagree on the field, their fans can agree off the field that kids need school supplies to be successful in school. By 8:00, the Stuff the Bus was filled up with the generous donations of Seahawk fans, and the amazing CIS of Seattle volunteers were ready to go and enjoy the game (Seahawks W31-21!) with all the amazing fans who gave.
