We’re very proud to be a grantee of the 2020 Community-Based Organizations Grants facilitated by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). These grants distributed $8.1 million in federal emergency funds to 41 community-based organizations serving students in Washington. Out of the initial total $600,000 provided to statewide CBOs, we were thrilled to receive an award of $300,000 for our local affiliate network. As of April 2021, we have also been awarded an additional $200,000, bringing our total network grant up to $500,000!
This grant comes at a critical time as our affiliates look for ways to engage and serve families in the community, addressing issues like digital equity, community resource navigation, and students’ social-emotional wellness. With this funding from OSPI, our network will be able to deepen case management for students and families who may need intensive support this school year.
