Recently Communities In Schools was recognized by the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance, a rigorous evaluation process that helps foster sound giving decisions and advances high standards of conduct among nonprofits. The recognition, along with our second four-star rating from Charity Navigator, places us in the top tier of nonprofits for financial stewardship and operational transparency.
At Communities In Schools we believe our mission is a trust – one that we take very seriously and which is a core part of helping young people achieve their true potential. Recognition from two nationally respected charity evaluators is another example of how we validate that trust each and every day.
In these tough economic times, the public and key funders are demanding that organizations show unprecedented transparency and proven results to justify continued contributions. In many cases, nonprofits are being asked to do more with less, and donors are looking for proof that a nonprofit’s operations are effective.
We are confident Communities In Schools will continue to thrive in the new economic climate. Our school-site service coordination model ensures that young people get exactly the kind of help they need – when they need it. Students come to school better prepared to learn while their teachers are freed to focus more on teaching. Not only are we proven to increase graduation rates, and math and reading scores, we are highly efficient in the process – operating in the manner our times dictate. Doing more with less.
