The numbers are in! We’re excited to share that together with you, we raised $354,851 at our spring event this year. This outcome blew away all of our event goals, and we’re absolutely astounded! You have all shown us how much you care about students and families and the strength of our CIS network. THANK YOU SO MUCH for participating in our event. We couldn’t have done this without you, and we’re glad to count you as partners in service to our CIS affiliate network and the students we collectively serve.

What Impact Will This Have?

At the state office, we exist to support the efforts of our affiliate network and build their capacity to serve students and families. The year 2020 certainly brought its share of setbacks and challenges: COVID-19, national reckonings around race, and a turbulent election. Throughout these events, we have built our affiliates’ capacity to serve students out in the community instead of in school buildings. We partnered with businesses to address digital equity issues and connect youth with internet and technology. We also raised our collective voices to advocate for youth development programs, and we helped expand our affiliates’ capacity to fundraise creatively and sustainably. As schools transition back to in-person learning, we will continue to surround our affiliates with support so that they can do the life-changing work of serving kids.
