We’re thrilled to welcome you to the Better Together Conference 2025, located this year at the Tacoma Convention Center! This two-day gathering is designed to bring together CIS staff from across Washington for learning, collaboration, and inspiration. Whether you’re building new connections, deepening your practice, or simply taking time to recharge, this conference is about coming together as a community because we’re always better together.

- Who Should Attend: CIS Program Managers and Site Coordinators who want to connect, learn, and share best practices with peers across the network.

We’re honored to welcome Kibi Anderson, an Emmy Award-winning storyteller, best-selling author, and executive coach. With a career spanning Deloitte, ABC News, and Bloomberg, Kibi brings a powerful blend of corporate insight, cultural fluency, and creative vision to her work—helping leaders and mission-driven organizations communicate with impact, build high-functioning teams, and stay grounded in purpose.
Venue & Food
- Location: Tacoma Convention Center
- Food: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided on Tuesday and Wednesday. (Outside food is not permitted)
Travel & Lodging
- Hotel Coverage: The State Office will cover up to 2 nights of hotel stay for staff from the following affiliates CIS of Northeast Washington, CIS of North Central Washington, CIS of Central WA, CIS of the Blue Mountain Region, CIS of Whatcom-Skagit, CIS of Benton-Franklin.
- Other Affiliates: If you are not from one of the affiliates listed above, please select “I do not need a hotel” during registration.
- Hotel Nights: Be sure to indicate which night(s) you require lodging when completing your registration form.
