Help kids realize their potential.

Description of volunteer opportunities and volunteer sign-up form.

There are as many ways to volunteer with Communities In Schools as there are volunteers. Help out with a school supplies drive or winter coat distribution. Present your industry at a career fair or serve on a board of directors. Mentor or tutor a young person who needs your help and guidance. Join thousands of others as we improve the odds for Washington youth in need and at risk.

We're experts in organizing volunteers. Give us a call; it might just be the best call you've ever made.

Change a young life for the better.

Think of the mentors in your life - a neighbor, a teacher or coach, a parent - and consider how they helped you be a better person. Take the time to thank them, then think about who you mentor.

Are you giving back?

There are lots of young people - all around us - who don't have a healthy relationship with a caring adult, and they need us. Do you have what it takes to be a good mentor? Interested in changing a young life for the better?

Send us your information by filling out the form below. We'll contact you promptly to set up an interview that could lead to one less dropout and a very gratifying experience for you.

One Child at a Time
Kristine wanted to teach her daughter, Alice, the importance of giving back to their community. Seeking out an opportunity to serve a local school, Kristine contacted Communities In Schools and offered to help stuff backpacks for a school supply drive. Together, the mother and daughter team sorted over 30 boxes of donated supplies and delivered 700 school supply backpacks to area schools. “I like volunteering because I like to help other kids,” says Alice. “It makes me realize that no one is too young to make a difference.”
